Privacy

Beat Korean (beatkorean.com) is the companion site for the Beat Korean YouTube channel. We built it to collect as little as possible.

What we don't collect

There are no accounts, no sign-up forms, no email lists, no advertising and no tracking cookies on this site.

Visit counts

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits: which pages are viewed, roughly which country and what kind of browser or device, and which site sent you here. It sets no cookies, does not build a profile of you and does not follow you to other sites. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

What our host sees

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

YouTube videos

Episode videos are not loaded until you press play. When you do, the video is loaded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and Google's privacy policy applies to that video player. Links that say “Watch on YouTube” take you to youtube.com.

Your settings

The “Slow” switch is remembered in your own browser (local storage) so the page opens the way you left it. It never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.
